Hunter Martinez has been steadily forging a class portfolio of clips over these last few years.

At just 24 years of age, Hunter’s proving to be one of California’s most exciting up and coming filmmakers. Whether it be documenting Andrew Jacobsen in Hawaii or the Berle brothers skating Venice, Hunter has a keen eye for putting together clips that make you want to close your laptop and get on out there.

His latest piece Lost In Thought, is the culmination of months travelling from California & Panamá to Portugal, & Mexicoand beyond, all financed by himself and the surfers involved. In summary a truly independent surf clip without the financing of big brand sponsors.

It’s a bold move but one which will undoubtedly pay dividends going forward, highlighting just how hungry Hunter and the next generation of surfers are.

Featuring the likes of Shane Borland, Eithan Osborne, Gunner Day, Micky Clarke, Wil Reid to name a few, Lost In Thought is an epic foray into the future of surfing, even paying an inadvertent homage to Paarkesine 12 minutes in.

Dive in and be sure to keep an eye on Hunter, he’s gonna be making big waves in the next few years.
