The name is pretty self-explanatory.
A simple premise—an invitation to Willy’s favourite twin fin enthusiasts to compete on boards with two fins along SW France’s infamous surfing beaches.
Surfing in the day. Art shows, concerts, and film premieres by night. Set to an eight-day waiting period this time around, with the entire crew staying under the same roof to create and mingle (read: drinking beer). And like all contests, while there was a winner and a loser on paper, this event was less a heat-scoring fight to the death and more a gathering of like-minded people.
Our team followed the crew for the entire waiting period—from day strikes across the Basque border through Mundaka to Bakoua’s thumping bass kick-out at 5am. Let us present our take on the deuxième edition of William Aliotti’s Twin Fin Invitational!
