Like drunken birds migrating, every year sees us head to the Alps for the Volcom Spot to Spot. High debauchery, high altitude. And this year was no different. A fully loaded weekend of spots, beers, music and a European cross cultural exchange through the lens of snowboarding but mainly beer. From side hits, to mini pipes, hips and wall rides and the inaugural sledge jump (the Latvian man’s front from sledge to sledge was the best thing we’ve seen all year) a glorious weekend was had by all.
Climaxing on the Sunday afternoon with our editor in chief indulging in one two many beers, Spritzs and herbal substances and nearly not making it down the mountain. A story for another time.
As for winners and losers, we were too inebriated to really notice but the level was high, the vibes were even higher and ultimately, snowboarding wins.
