Ever been to a bad birthday party?
I have. A lot of them. 13 person dinners where everyone awkwardly looks at each other from across the table in support of the birthday boy/girl at a restaurant no one really wants to eat at. One friend fumbling through a half hearted toast out as the wine flows, all while white knuckling the experience waiting for it to be over.
Thankfully, Oakley did the exact opposite as they turned 50 this last Saturday, celebrating at their beautiful brutalist HQ in Orange County.
With a star studded invite list and none other legendary Hollywood personality Terry Crews on the mic, the festivities were abound. Upon walking through the history of Oakley entry way featuring some of the brand’s most iconic moments, sliders and grilled cheeses accompanied custom cocktails for the party as hundreds gathered to celebrate the world’s most innovative eyewear company.
Custom animated films followed, where alien planets were conquered by heroes adorned in Oakley’s cutting edge frames.
But the real kicker? Oakley’s Chief Visionary Officer and one of the world’s hottest recording artists Travis Scott came on for a private show, playing songs off his new album as well as a smorgasbord of his multi-platinum tracks.
And the crowd went wild.
Birthday dinners are cool, but it’s safe to say Oakley’s 50th was the best birthday party of 2025. Congrats to our friends at Oakley on such a prolific run, and to 50 more!
