Jess Ruby James is an Australian born photographer whose artistic inspiration is derived from human and geographical shapes, tones and textures.
Her visual language is spoken through a fresh and uncomplicated photographic connection between body, form, light, land, sky and water. Her authentic and considered observations via film and digital accentuate the strength and natural beauty of the anatomical and of the natural world she immerses herself and her audience in.
Now having left her native Australia for the bright lights of Paris, don’t be fooled by the professional accolades and artistic superlatives. Jess is perhaps the nicest, most unassuming person we’ve ever met, a stark juxtaposition to the usual Parisian fashion scene. She prefers to let her professional work do the talking and not let her ego get in the way of a good time.
