Legendary skate shop Civilist celebrates its 15 year anniversary in Berlin with a community exhibition shot on Polaroid film.

Civilist founder, photographer and curator Alex Flach brings together a collective of young artists to explore the vibrant spirit of today’s Berlin through the raw and unfiltered medium of Polaroid instant photography in the upcoming exhibition,“DEAR BERLIN”.

This collaborative love letter to the home ground unfolds a kaleidoscopic panorama of Berlin’s urban landscape, faces and fleeting moments offering an intimate glimpse into its vibrant subcultures. This unique collection captures Berlin’s distinct energy, emphasising its history, diversity and creative edge.

Opening at the international gallery HVW8 Berlin on Thursday October 24th, the exhibition celebrates the 15th anniversary of Civilist, one of Berlin’s most iconic cultural intersections.

Featuring work from Alex Flach, Marina Mónaco, Steffen Grap, Maxim Rosenbauer, Carolina Gamboa, Tim Rosenbaum, Lenny, Julia Groening and Polly Roche.
