Loris Russier’s beautiful short film shines a light on African American surfer Julian Williams.

Born on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Julian openly discusses the substantial racism he has faced in the surfing world and the hope he has for a future in which ‘the ocean is not just for them, it’s for everyone’.

The film’s central theme highlights Williams’ message and the importance that family, religion and friends have played in finding his identity within the surfing community.
