Jordy and Dion’s part in Mr Neville’s Modern Collective on repeat when the wind goes bad followed by snooker ball hitting on the infamous beach inn table all before tucking into one too many beers from Indonesia’s one and only beer brand. At least that’s how we remember it…
Despite not making it over for this edition, we have had the pleasure of being on the invitee list for previous Stab High events. A ‘warm up’ session with the SH competitors is always a sobering experience and a reminder we should always leave any surf craft we own at home, and that the only reason we are there is for media purposes. We digress, the concept is solid and hands down the best way to date to portray, judge and in turn push aerial surfing progression. So with the peak emptied for 24 of the worlds best aerial surfers, big cash prizes (not to mention a wildcard entry into the Vans Pipe Masters next month) let us present to all you non premiums plebs (NPP), 4 episodes of unadulterated next gen surfing :
