Call Center Blues is a lyrical portrait of an unlikely community of US deportees and their loved ones struggling to rebuild their lives in Tijuana, Mexico.

From parents, to veterans, to students, the call centers of Tijuana are filled with deportees who have been forced to trade the American Dream for a new life wedged between home and displacement.

Geeta Gandbhir’s heartbreaking tale of displacement follows four deportees living in Tijuana, where their work as call center operators keep them connected to the US, but the American Dream grows increasingly distant.
