Comprised of dirt and water, Adobe is one of the oldest building materials known to mankind.

This poignant documentary short by director duo Levi Arnold and Parker Foster explores the rise of popularity in adobe housing amongst wealthy vacationers and retirees in Marfa, Texas and the subsequent rise in property taxes and appraisals, pushing out Marfa’s residents.

The film follows Marfa county resident, Sandro Canovas, on a personal mission to defend the traditional form of building using dirt and water and bring an end to the injustice.
