Despite America restoring our faith in humanity this past week, there’s still plenty of work to do.

Racism doesn’t disappear over night sadly and the repercussions of slavery still resonate deeply in modern America.

San Francisco based director Ivan Cash presents a poignant portrait of a third-generation sharecropper and descendant of slaves, Mr Jay Allen Glaspy.

Born in the cotton fields and having worked in them until age 19. Mr. Glaspy’s journey reveals a man with unwavering devotion in the face of adversity.

Beautifully lensed by director of photography Jamal Solomon, Jay Allen Glaspy is a masterclass in short form storytelling, offering hope for a more optimistic future ahead.
