We’re huge fans of Tom Karangelov.
Not just for his taste in skate spots but in his taste in general. You may recall his nostalgic fuse of guilty pleasures & 80s Americana that graced our film club a while back.
Fortunately it doesn’t appear Tom’s been wasting too much time watching movies, but instead, out in the streets spot hunting and consistently stacking footage with the most complimentary filmer he could have in Matt Bublitz.
You can tell these two have worked together since way back.
Cut to the sounds of a Stephen Malkmus track no less, everything from concept to filming, the choice of tricks and spots and the use of mixed mediums is on point.
There’s even some 16mm thrown in by our good friend Matt Payne.
