We woke up this morning to the heartbreaking news that UK skateboarder and Enjoi pro Ben Raemers sadly passed away this weekend.
I was fortunate enough to meet Ben on several occasions throughout the years, and every time was memorable for his exuberant vibes. His smile, humility and sheer joy for skateboarding was intoxicating. Of those brief moments we spent together, we formed a shared love for Alan Partridge. I can vividly remember a moment during CPH Open 2017, where we literally quoted Scissored Isle for about twenty minutes over a beer before going our separate ways.
Ben was a wonderful human with an immense talent who will be sorely missed by everyone within the skateboarding community. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
Rest easy Ben. Your smile will live on forever!
