We remember quite well the moment we realized Louie Lopez was taking over the whole game of skateboarding…

It was at Biarritz’s Regent cinema around 3 years ago, when he opened Volcom’s full length “Holy Stokes!” with a 5mn-long mind bending double part. Since then, we’ve been watching everything Lopez labelled… and yes that’s a lot of clips. The fact is that during the past few years, the Californian native truly has made a name for himself thanks to his smooth style and his consistency, which eventually led to designing his very own shoe on long-time sponsor Converse.

To celebrate the release of his new kicks, the one who’s now better known as “Louie the King” recently flew to Mexico with Cons’ extraordinaire head videographer Ben Chadourne and some of his team-mates including Jake Johnson, Brian Delatorre, Bobby De Keyzer, Sean Pablo and more. And what a delight to see Alexis Sablone getting a few tricks in between the boys! Let’s hope for more of this in 2019…
