We’re not gonna bother with an introduction to Jack Whitefield.
If you don’t know by now, he’s one of our favourite photographers as well as one of our favourite humans all round. We’ve featured his work on several occasions in fact, a neat photo series of his graced our very first print issue and our man Robin Pailler even spent some Moments at Home with Jack in Cornwall last year.
So it’s an absolute treat to hear he’s back on the south west coast this week hosting a new solo show entitled BARRIER. An observation into the exhaustion and decay of our current landscape, an awareness that everything breaks down or wastes away at some point, after which something new is formed. Jack mirrors these observations by manipulating traditional photographic and print making techniques.
The show is hosted by the good folk at Sserie studio in Anglet. Doors open at 19:00 Tuesday 25th September so if you find yourself on the French Basque coast this week your attendance is highly recommended.
You can find full details on the event here.
