We were recently lucky enough to hang out with South Korean snowboarder Minsik Lee in his hometown of Seoul for our Field Notes clip, which you can view here.

And if you’ve ever spent time with Minsik, you’ll know he’s all about giving back to the community.

Enter TRASH YARD. A snowboard culture event Minsik created to bring together riding, art, music, and community into one raw environment.

Built from recycled materials, the setup reflects the idea of turning discarded objects into something meaningful, both as obstacles to ride and as artworks to experience.

Rather than a traditional contest, Trash Yard focuses on expression and connection, with an MVP and a Cash for Tricks format, live music, and an open space for creatives to interact.

It’s about creating a new space where different generations and cultures meet, pushing snowboarding beyond sport into a broader cultural movement.
