We’re huge fans of Tyler Smolinski.
Undoubtedly one of our favourite filmmakers, who’s been quietly forging an exquisite portfolio of work this past decade, most notably through his videos for HUF.
Echoes from the Powerplant, is his latest audiovisual gift. An unofficial semi-HUF trip of sorts featuring Erik Herrera, Mason Silva, Justin Dysen, Finn Pope, Drake Johnson and Daiki Hoshino as they embark on a trip through Cleveland.
As always, Tyler’s film is beautifully arranged. Soft and slow, evoking a dream-like quality, blending beautifully shot 16mm, with stellar skate clips and a delightful choice of accompanying music.
We highly recommend switching to airplane mode for eight and half minutes for full immersion.
