If you reside in or even frequent Los Angeles often, you’re probably already familiar with Oblivion.
The community driven surf/vintage shop/event space etc. is arguably the beating heart of the east LA scene.
Whether it’s offering guided tea meditation, celebrating 10 years of WKND Skateboards or premiering Lola Mignot’s new surf film De Color a Flor, Oblivion has fully embraced the role of nurturing mother to so many. As their slogan so beautiful puts it; “When you’re here, you’re family”.
Cutbacks etc. is a delightfully quirky edit, essentially featuring shop owner Grady Strange having a ball in Oaxaca and California respectively. A gentle reminder surfing should never be taken too seriously.
If you’re not familiar then do go pay them a visit next time you find yourself in Highland Park.
